mrjay12 5 Posted April 6 Hey just seeing what people think what goes best with klipsch reference line I a 5.2.4 setup. Currently have a onkyo RZ830 but looking for something else. Denon 3700h or 4700h and the Marantz 7706 processor. What are you all thoughts in pairing these entry klipsch speakers up with a processor ??? Or what av receiver do u like best for the reference line???
M_Klipsches 136 Posted April 6 I’ve got the Denon 3700H in the 5.1 family room system. It powers RP280Fs, RC62II, & RP502S. It does a great job. It’s mostly used for TV & Movies, but does well with music too. I’d imagine either of the Denons you mentioned would work well with your Reference speakers too. Amstaff 48 Posted April 7 What does your existing Onkyo not do for you? It seems like a robust receiver. If there are certain features your are lacking and want obviously look for those. The receivers look to be all reasonably similar in power output. The Marantz 7706 looks to be a pre-amp only. What amp would you use? Or, you may just want one, which is fine too 🙂
mrjay12 5 Posted April 7 the onkyo is only lacking a in few areas for me. imax enhanced, independent subwoofer inputs, last 2 not so important features hdmi 2.1 and hdcp 2.3. I have two emotiva amps a300 & a500.
