Jvitti1970
Is this a worthwhile mod? i have replaced my original tweeters with the CT-120. Very happy with the results. Cost for Crites mids is a good chunk. Who has them and can give me their honest opinion?!
yamahaSHO
I have them in my La Scala's and Heresy's (along with CT-120's). They sound great, but so did my K-55's... I wanted to make my speakers 'new' again, so I went with what was "better".

OO1
--the K55V is 16ohms -- the A-55G is 12 ohms --the frequency response shows this --

JohnA
John Allen's driver does test better. I think it is more audioneurotica to replace good, working K-55-Vs than anything else. When yours fail, or you drop one, buy the Allens.
Bacek
Sorry for slight offtopic. Year or two ago there was discussion on some other alternative for K55. Measurements looked even better than fork55. I don't recall company or driver name and failed to find the topic. Maybe someone knows what I'm talking about and could give me a tip on finding it? OO1
So , you're not speaking of the A-
Bacek
Anyway I would like to find it. If anyone recalls discussion/topic please give me some hints.
tromprof
I have used the A-55G/2 in both Heresys and Cornwalls. I recommend them without hesitation, it is the sweetest sounding mid driver of the type IMO.
Schu
I've tried them, AG55's... I found them different... but not better.

I believe you're talking about the PRV D2000ph, the thread with all the measurements has been deleted, this one may be too along with my post soon:
jimjimbo
The A55G sounds much better than a K55, IMO. If you purchase some, be sure that they are packaged properly.

And webcache version is still reachable with some measurements too.
