Beaker Street

Back in the late 60s and early 70s there was a powerful AM station in Little Rock Arkansas, KAAY AM. There was a program called Beaker Street hosted by Clyde Clifford. It was truly underground radio playing material that you never heard anywhere else. Well, Beaker Street is back. Clyde thumbs his nose a corporate formulated radio. You’ll hear art rock which they call Prog now, blues, space, and folk. For codgers like me it brings back memories of my youth. For younger listeners it exposes artists who elevated music beyond the commercial pop music of the era, Tune in Friday nights from 9:00 to 12:00 CST on arkansasrocks.com if you love true classic rock. NO HAIR BANDS from the 80s and 90s. Never got into spandex and mousse.

Listened to it nightly from north Florida...it was our go to station.
Our local AM was not shabby either as we knew DJs and brought plenty of vinyl... good show...

You can still listen.
