Crites Titanium Diaphragms?

Recommended Posts

There are probably 100 threads on tweeters

every side of the argument for every available tweeter.

Apparently, the factory originals, the best in their day, have a finite life span

alnico magnets, diodes and diaphrams

then there is the metal vs phenolic arguments

Age will fix any problems you may be experiencing with high freqs......

You may want to scan the threads for the top 5 contenders

if you have the time and bucks

you can sample all of them....

Hey Guys would the titanium tweeter diaphragms be a worthwhile mod for Chorus l’s?

Crites ti in both my chorus I and II tweeters, like them better than stock. Cheap to do and easily reversed, most people like them some don't.

If you don't like them you can sell them here for only a slight loss.

I have the LMAHL on the MCM1900 and 2 sets of Walnut SMAHL that @Dave A made. A real improvement in every application where I use them.

Read more about them here

The best "upgrade", "mod", "conversion", "customization", would be a DaveA MAHL DE120 tweeter.

@Dave A

When Dave a ran his road show I ran (iirc) his first run of the de 120 in my chorus I. More money than  crites but a hell ofa tweeter.

He is still running it if you have some posts to your name.

Generous! I didn't  buy  Dave's tweeter, at the time I was on the fence about keeping  or selling the chorus I's. If you plan on keeping them one of Dave's tweeters maybe the way to go.

My review should be in here somewhere, maybe search under road show ?

I bought mine directly from Dave A They are fantastic and I installed them in my Forte 1s which I still use as my surround Gortes. I also bought a pair of Dave’s Smahl tweets for my since sold Super Heresys and those speakers sounded incredible.
