Apparently, the factory originals, the best in their day, have a finite life span alnico magnets, diodes and diaphrams then there is the metal vs phenolic arguments Age will fix any problems you may be experiencing with high freqs...... Crites ti in both my chorus I and II tweeters, like them better than stock. Cheap to do and easily reversed, most people like them some don't. I have the LMAHL on the MCM1900 and 2 sets of Walnut SMAHL that @Dave A made. A real improvement in every application where I use them. I didn't buy Dave's tweeter, at the time I was on the fence about keeping or selling the chorus I's. If you plan on keeping them one of Dave's tweeters maybe the way to go. Fido Posted June 26, 2021 Share Posted June 26, 2021 I bought mine directly from Dave A They are fantastic and I installed them in my Forte 1s which I still use as my surround Gortes.
