Dsilverman Posted June 24, 2021 Share Posted June 24, 2021 I bought my second ProMedia 2.1 speakers in March 2020; the original, version 1 speakers I'd had since 2001 gave up the ghost. Now, I'm having issues with the right channel of the new ones. The channel is out most of the time. Sometimes it comes back, and when it does, it seems to fade in, stay on for a minute or two, then fade out. The left channel, where I have the control pod, is just fine. I have tried reconnecting the speakers at the subwoofer; power-cycling the speakers; removing and re-inserting the pre-amp plug. I've tried jiggling the wire where it enters the right speaker. It doesn't seem to be a loose connection anywhere, which would make the sound cut out suddenly. The fading would indicate an issue in the speakers' circuitry, I think. Both channels play fine through the left speaker's headphone jack, so my audio source (a 2020 27" iMac) is not the issue. Any suggestions before I put in a support request?
