dtr20
I just picked up 5 industrial la scalas today and was hoping to get some info on when they are made. They have Type AA crossovers and below is a picture of the terminal plate with the serial number 2262. Thanks Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk
billybob
Congrats and cool. Would ask you what your plans are for them but, sure you just got them in through the door and letting them rest.
dtr20
They came out of a family fun center that went out of business. They were hanging by chains from the ceiling for roughly 30 years. They need to be thoroughly cleaned first. We are listening to them now in the garage.Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk 2

JRH
#2262 shipped to PMA Engineering on 4/16/80, along with the next 7 serial numbers.

Does it list a city and state that these were shipped to? Curious if these came directly to Massachusetts or if they came later. Also, does it make sense that the some of the speakers have different midrange and tweeter drivers? Was thus a transition year for Klipsch with drivers? But 79-80 time frame is when nud-magnet drivers began replacing the former AlNiCo magneted drivers, Mostly due to the severe drop in availability of cobalt, which was primarily due to apartheid sanctions going into effect against imports from South Africa! So as the availibilty of cobalt diminished, iron slurry "mud" magnets began to replace AlNiCo magnets on drivers. K-77 M replaced former K77, K55M replaced K55V. . .

JRH
HDBRbuilder and RandyH are correct. The logbook has no further information.

HDBRbuilder
In your pics you posted of the drivers...both of the mid-range drivers are K55V with the AlNiCo magnets. One of the tweeters is K77 (round AlNiCo magnet), the other is a K77-M (square ferrite mud slurry magnet).
