Marvel
Roy recently mentioned this "First off, Paul klipsch once said, if I can see farther then those before me, it is because I stand on the shoulders of giants." Dennis used it in the past, perhaps because he may also have heard PWK use it while Dennis was a Klipsch dealer in Iowa. It's a phrase so full of meaning on different levels, but it has been around for a long, long time. Thank you, Roy, for bringing it to my attention once again. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Standing_on_the_shoulders_of_giants 3

Marvel
Just so everyone knows... I am not criticising Roy or PWK. The statement/quote is true for anyone. All of us, if we have our wits about us, see more than those who have come before. Some of us just happen to use what we have seen better than others.

MMurg
Yes, it has been around a long time. I had always heard that phrasing of it being attributed to Isaac Newton.

Jim Gregory
I do not know what I may appear to the world, but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the sea-shore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me.
