Indeed he is very well known in Europe, especially to a bit older audience who watched his films.

We knew him well in Berkeley and Oakland California!  Breathless at the Cinema on Shattuck and Haste, and That Man from Rio at the Parkway in Oakland.  Robert (Bobby) F. Kennedy thought TMFR was one of the funniest movies he had seen.

 

RIP, John Paul!
