grindstone
Haven't always stayed-up on things on the board. Occasionally wondered if Maron's PWK letter stash ever made its way to a proper home (JRH) for archival. Just re-read an old PWK article atbout X-3's and K5's and wondered again. Anybody know? Thanks.
JRH
I received Maron's package on 10/16/2009. Definitely some good info on Paul's buddy, George Ashworth. In the 40's Ashworth told PWK that he had peanut butter in his ears. They remained friends!
John Warren
Maron's wife, through an friend of hers, contacted me after his death. She had a long Excel list of hardware he owned. It's not clear to me how she came across my contact info. He either instructed her to contact me or found my contact information in his personal papers. Either way, she asked me to evaluate the list and estimate sale prices so she could sell it without getting short changed. She didn't want to deal with buyers directly and I didn't want to take the task on of being a middle man. I thought about buying the whole lot but I'm past the point of collecting vintage hardware. There were many JBL vintage pieces.
grindstone
Great! Really glad to hear it, thanks. Ouch on the '09 (guess time flies). And for different reasons, thanks to both of you for all you do--you guys are both gems (though I do miss the crotchety bugger, too)
