B&C isn't one of them,

B&C  are an OEM  on top of design work ,  Please read ;  https://www.bcspeakers.com/en/about/about-b-c/

There is a grammar  error in the English translation  on their about page  , it should read  ,  "  one of the largest " -

Since 1946, B&C Speakers has been one of largest and most prestigious professional loudspeaker transducer    manufacturers in the world. In addition to designing and distributing components under the B&C brand name,  they  also supply OEM components .

Not necessarily. I worked with Chinese factories for 20 plus years, not all of them are unscrupulous. A lot of times, they will buy a real component and try to reverse engineer it. Most times, if the factory is not familiar with the technology of the component it will look the same, but rarely perform they way it was intended.

Reminds me of Trelane from Star Trek who’s food had no taste and his wine, no flavor although it looked perfect.
