Dac6125
I have a pair of klipsch Hersey I had them for about 40 years we are remodeling our room and we are building a wall built in for tv, book, storage, etc can I put the speaker in the built in cabinet and will it affect the sound
wuzzzer
It can. You'll want to pull them forward so they're flush with the built in. That'll reduce reflections from the cabinet. You'll get some vibrations from the built in that may or may not be audible.

Not sure why a lot of the new users are putting their screen name in the subject line of their posts. Can get confusing.
Shakeydeal
It will have a negative affect on the sound. How much it matters to you, only you can say. Shakey
Madman1
@Dac6125 I just crammed my Heresy ii into my living room cabinets. There is definitely a slight loss in imaging as opposed to sitting out in front of the cabinets, but I (&wife) didn’t want them sitting in the floor. There are mainly there to provide low volume enjoyment and they do that just fine. I know it looks a bit bare above the gear (new house). Still planning to add shelves in the upper sections of the cubbies.

Yes, it is a compromise, but they are still going to sound a lot better than Alexa. Congratulations on the new house!
parlophone1
Just wandering... if doors to the cabinets could be taken off during the listening and put aside, that could help the spread of the sound in the room and possibly improve the overall music presentation. The hinges of the cabinet doors probably should be changed but that is a minor inconvenience.

I think I may look into a hinge that will allow the doors to open further that could definitely help.

Madman1
Yea, that actually was the plan at first and I still may try it, they’re just a bit more imposing in the room sitting up there.
