I have experimented mixing small quantities of flat and semi gloss black and get close enough.

I sanded down my CF-4's (deep gouges) and used a Med Oak stain followed by Satin polyurethane.  The Satin looks very close to OEM IMO.

I’ve used Old Masters Spanish oak wiping stain with great success on oak klf/kg etc. I think the match is so good you could get away with only doing the top or problem area. I plan to use the same on my old rough chorus ii.

A good coat of oil may take care of small imperfections as well.

Black is harder to match and depends on the repair.
