nickyboy6100
I agree. Hard to beat a La Scala with anything.

rockhound
Couldn't agree more. Although I have not heard the F4 yet I really loved the F3 and of course the Scala is a no brainer. I regularly watch his vids on different audio and like his content. Anyone heard the audio lab 6000A play that won best amp?

I have not but the runner-up Cambridge AXR100 for $600 seemed pretty close in sound to the $1500 Audio Lab. I don't know why but I am suddenly not as interested in a top AVR or a pre-pro but a 2-channel integrated amp instead. I'm not interested in top power but top SQ that might make the CF-4's express themselves in my computer setup. I used a few different amps and I was surprised to find how how particular the CF-4 was when it came to an amp. I've got a little cheap mini-amp with 100 wpc that just makes the CF-4's sound tinny.
rockhound
I'm currently trying out a couple different pairs of active speakers in hopes of simplification. However if I don't find what I'm looking for I may pursue the integrated route as well that has streaming capabilities like this one does or the bluesound powernode Simplification is what I'm after. My experience was similar with my CF4's....they want power.
hizzieallen
I have a pair of Forte IVs, I was able to demo them against the III side by side. I paid the extra $1k without a second thought. I was also able to listen to the LS during the same demo. I definitely have to own a pair someday!!

Pro type PA gear or studio oriented monitors perhaps?
Bubo
Couple of years ago a friend asked me the difference in systems So I played the same Sheryl Crow song for him Youtube quality on my Klipsch desk top speakers, he loved it Moved to Heresys youtube version, then CD he loved it more Moved to my LR set up and ran the DTS version over my MCIntosh and the LaScalas and told him to close his eyes How does it sound now ? "Like she is sitting on my lap blowing in my ear" For a moment, I thought I might to pull him off the TV..... Best female vocals in a speaker to my ears is LaScala PS My Yamaha amps sound better, but I like the blue glow .....
