Speaker recommendations for L/R in large-ish media room

My current L/R speakers (KL-650s) look to be blown. It’s been 9-ish years since I built my current setup and it looks like the KL-650s are not in production anymore. While it seems I can still pick up some used KL-650s via places like eBay, it’s a good opportunity for me to consider other options.

What would you guys recommend?

My current 5.2 setup:

  • LCR: Klipsch KL-650-THX (x3) -- my center is working fine still
  • Surrounds: Klipsch KS-525-THX (x2)
  • Subs: SVS PB12-NSD (x2)
  • Receiver: Denon X4000
  • Sources: Apple TV, Nintendo Switch, Mac Mini
  • Display: Epson 5020UB + 110” Stewart Firehawk

Room dimensions:
23' x 27' x 9.5'
Listening/viewing distance (from couch): 18’

Usage:
90% movies and TV

Budget:
Flexible, perhaps between $1000 and $3000 for a new pair of fronts. The goal is to get something that will make me happy for another 10+ years. Also, depending on what I choose for new speakers, it’s possible I’ll need to add some additional budget for a new center.

I concur with the others re repair/rebuilding the 650s. Nice heavy duty units specifically designed for movies. I can't see how replacing some parts would exceed your tentative budget.

Edit: I just found an old thread that may be useful. RF 7s could be a good option for you as well if the repair proves difficult.
