The Cornscalas are not bad speakers. Different crossovers would certainly help them. The extra bass of the Cornscala is nice, but of a different type than the La Scalas. I think the bass is cleaner in the La Scala. The midrange on the La Scalas is excellent.

You cant beat a Lascala 1 , except with a Lascala II , or AL5  , these are serious speakers , with beautiful veneers and  modern crossovers  , and adding a Sub  is all they really need  , and even better 2 subs , or a single 1802  ,
