How do you tame the metalic sound of klipsch speakers.

the RF 5000 you own , comes with Titanium diaphragms  for the HF  , Titanium is all brands ,so other speaker brands  also sound  metallic  -

you can  lower the Treble /mids /HF tone controls , or EQ it lower on the HF  if the metallic sound bothers you  , one advantage of Titanium diaphragms is the durability /excellent sound with brass or metallic musical   instruments , cymbals,   etc

the Heritage series have options of non-metallic diaphragms , and ,  the RF 5000 would sell very fast  on the Garage Sale .

I was hoping for all possible tweaks rather than spending on new speakers.

Post a picture of your room and how they're set up.

What receiver or amplifier are you using?  What are you listening to, radio, CDs, streaming, etc?

while Titanium does impart an extreme clarity and dryness to the sound, the speakers (which are very revealing) only project what is fed to them... bad signal, bad presentation. Post your signal chain and room layout.

I have attaches the pic of the room. It is a 30ft long by 15 ft.  Looks like the "eyes" is where the speakers are.  The straight line "mouth like" is where the couch is. There is a bay window on left side.

Receiver is Yamaha Rx-V485.   Energy 10 inch sub is between TV stand and left speaker. The music us mostly from Youtube from telus TV box. The TV stand is between the 2 speakers . I have put Covid mask over the tweeter horn and it seems to have helped a bit and of course I have turned down trebble a bit.

Thanks

and youtube from a cable box is even worse . . .

you have to listen to a high quality source and a high quality amp to see how your speakers sound.  sounds like you need to switch out each of your components and see which one is the culprit.

You could have a mismatch between the Yamaha and the Klipsch.  Some solid state equipment just sounds like crap with Klipsch.  Ever try tubes?  Softer driving electronics will change for the better.

You could even give one of those low cost Class D amps from Parts Express a try.
