Help identifying RCA cables.

Bought some RCA cables today that have stainless steel or aluminum braided shielding. Very heavy cable with Vampire logo on the rca ends. Not sure if they were a production cables or DYI.  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks

I don't think so

Depends on what that un insulated conductor is touching doesn't it? In unbalanced connections the shield is the power ground and the signal ground. I just would never do that. It is just inviting problems in my way of thinking.
