hanksjim1
I have noticed in a few older threads that Klipsch offered a K-400/k-77 upgrade for older units with the K-5-J/T-4401 that included the baffleboard. Does anyone know if the Tophat dimensions are the same for older and newer Khorns? For reference I am thinking 1957 versus 1976 or newer. Anyone done this? Any issues? hanksjim1
@JRH Any info on what the upgrade baffle looked like in the conversion from K-5-J/T-4401 to K-400/k-77 offered by Klipsch back in the day? Was it basically the same size/configuration as the current grill/baffle setup?
Khornukopia
I don't have the official answer for you but, are you looking at buying a used conversion kit and want to verify its authenticity or, are you wanting to build it yourself and need measurements? hanksjim1
Thanks for asking. Ideally I'd like to replicate the period correct upgrade baffle for my '57. If anyone has one for sale (Or pics) that would be great! Otherwise any input on modifications required to use a new grill/baffle would be very helpful. I believe I saw a thread a few years ago, but I can't seem to find it now.
