R-12SW Klipsch Costco NA.

First off this is a normal home user here nothing more.

I do not claim to be an expert, nor do I have any equipment / room treatment or special meters or gauges.

I was at Costco seen a huge stack of Klipsch R-12SW subwoofers $189.99 (3 years ago?).

Got one hooked it up and went back the next day for a second one.

I did NOT search google or research them endlessly I just did exactly as above period.

I love them really hit hard fills the room with booming bass shaking the walls if I really want.

Then I started to look at all the stuff on YouTube and AVS forum and sites like that only to find the absolute hate for Klipsch period, It's like a Trump style hate.

I found out a few things about Klipsch they look great and rock out hard and have a distinct sound that is hard to miss.

Hyper crisp, Hyper clear with mighty midrange (This is for the RP-6000F and RP-5000F), there is some bass but not as much as if you had say a 12" driver.

If you can tell me why Klipsch subwoofers are weak or worthless I am all ears.

One subwoofer was fine, but I wanted the second one for not only looks but even MORE of a punch!

The addition of the second subwoofer pushes so much air that you can feel movies and feel the music even with the ceiling fan on.

I find the subwoofers sound to be booming and clear no popping or buzzing.

I have pushed my Denon AVR-S750H to the max (Volume all the way) I heard no distortion at all. It was loud a.f. but I could not hear any discernable distortion.

I have pushed them all and I have never heard the B.S. I have read others saying they are hearing.

I have even played stupid and did every change to my system settings and speaker settings and could not hear the GARBAGE they say they are hearing.

I have had my neighbors tell me how nice it sounds in their yard.

So why are so many talking smack about Klipsch subwoofers?

It has 400 watts of power too.

I mean look at that setup!

What are your thoughts on this subwoofer from Klipsch?

Welcome! As long as you are good. Yes those seem a decent deal.

Guess hate will get you just so far. Hope they continue to do it for you.

Unless I somehow blow them, they are more than plenty to do the job.

I just cannot hear nor get what all the haters are talking about.

My guess is because Klipsch is so well known and widely purchased that they are looked on as inferior.

I mean there must be some here that have had them and maybe even still do.

I do not want to seem like a fanboy here (though I am starting to get this way) but I hear the talk and am shocked at the amount of people that talk negative about Klipsch and especially the subwoofers from Klipsch, so much so I thought I would add another perspective to this.

Everyone talks about SVS subwoofers like they are better than the Klipsch and though I have not had one cannot attest to what they sound like compared to the Klipsch.

I would say that the Klipsch subwoofer is far from what you are being told from other so-called self-professed audiophiles. (I have no time for audiophiles).

Another thing is if they are really that bad why does Costco and audio stores go through them by the pallet full where was an SVS ever offered up at Costco to the local consume?

190 $ was a giveaway , I would have grabbed all the stock they had .. the Subs sound great......problems with any subs are  Surges  and dips   from power outages ,  pull the power cord if not in use , simple .

Right! At the time you might have paid up to $499.00 for one.

I'm so lucky I got 2 at that price.

BTW when I went back the next day there was only 6 left. 😄
