michaelwjones
I need to find this baby a new home. I have accumulated a few too many amps... A great (IMHO) basic single ended integrated amp, the Pacific Creek SE300I uses 300Bs and is conservatively rated at 10 Watts per channel. Zero global negative feedback (NFB) ensures the most detailed reproduction of sound. SE300I features labor-intensive point-to-point wiring, 5Z3 tube rectifier, double chassis with mirror treated stainless steel surface, and 8 mm (5/16") front and back panels. This integrated is different in that like the Conrad Johnson CAVs, the preamp section is passive. The unit was designed in Washington state and built in China. It is impressive for its sound and the lack of NFB is nearly impossible to obtain in amplifiers. While it sounds wonderful and comes with Chinese and Soviet tubes, it is amenable to tube rolling to further refine the sound. I will also email a pdf of the manual. Specifications: Integrated amplifier with CD/TUNER/AUX1/AUX2 inputs 10 Watts r.m.s. per channel Zero global and local negative feedback Point-to-point wiring Potted transformers 5Z3P tube rectifier Choke input filter 5-way binding posts for 4 and 8 Ohms speakers Total Harmonic Distortion (T.H.D.) @ 1kHz, 8 Ohm: Less than 1% at 6 Watts Less than 2 % at 8 Watts Less than 5% at 10 Watts Tube Complements 300B-98 x 2 6P3 (Russian 6L6) or equivalent x 2 12AU7 x 2 5Z3P x 1 Input Impedance: 47 KOhms Power Source: 120VAC Power Consumption: 220 Watts Dimension: 17" (W) x 15" (D) x 8" (H) Weight: 68 lbs I have several spare tubes I’ll include, as well the Electro Harmonix 300Bs I swapped for the stock Chinese 300Bs (also included). Local pickup given its 68 pound weight. $500. Please email any questions.
SonicSeeker
This looks like one heck of a deal. Very nice! GLWS
michaelwjones
The spare tubes I'll include several tubes specific to the unit: a quartet of SV6L6GC and a trio of 5U3C tubes. While the photo shows a quartet of 6L6s, my neighbors bas amp blew its tubes and he needed a pair. So to confirm, regardless of the photo, its really two 6L6s. Still a deal IMHO. Shakeydeal
This is a wonderful way for someone to dip their toes in the 300B waters and see what it’s all about. GLWS. 1
