billybob
Know I'm behind the 8 ball but, it should not be humming. At least, not enough to bother anything.
Islander
I used Dynamat on my La Scalas’ K400 squawker horns. It was easy to work with and looks shiny.
Deang
“Best self adhering sound deadening material.” Someone comes to mind.
MicroMara
Always depends on what it is to be used for , for the squaker dynamat is good , for cabinte damping I recommend damping 10 or damping 30 . They are made of recycled wool felt fibers and have a self-adhesive layer on one side. Used them for my own speakers many times. https://www.intertechnik.com/shop/accessories/damping/ite-damping10,583193,en,8070,1159055

I've used Kilmat for my Heresys, Chorus IIs, and La Scalas. Same quality as Dynamat, but the cost is a lot less. It's on Amazon.
OO1
another option is the use of an insulating foam piece glued to the entire lower surface of the mids horn , it works by preventing Low Frequencies from bouncing on the horn's plastic

I welcome all of the discussions and recommendations for everything that could benefit from some dampening materials as well but I do have the original issue addressed.
muel
I would consider a humming and vibrating power transformer defective. Plates are loose or something inside. Sounds like your satisfied. This is what is inside my computers at home: Acousti Products - AcoustiPack™ Soundproofing Materials There is a heat insulating quality to this material so I'd be careful. For speakers I've used No Rez from GR Research: No Rez 24” x 27” (4 pack) | GR-Research Funny thing, in my situation I was happiest using the expensive throw pillows from the couch. "When are we getting those back, Dad?" Uh... you're not. heh heh 2 1

That is one point or there can be some DC/AC unbalance on AC side. It increases mechanical humm. In this case DC-Blocker circuit could be used. Some don't recommend this for power or integrated amplifiers.
StevenZ
I'd had good luck with Quick Roof Pro Aluminum from Amazon to damp chasiss as well as cabinet walls. Good alternative to Dynamat.
