It's to the point to forget having a picture of a beast living under a bridge in the old country next to the definition of troll in the dictionary.

This rich dude just enjoys the trolling as much as he does p*ssing others off!

Nah, he's just got a good sense humor and is smart enough, and rich enough, to not to give a damn about what others think.

Beside, the type of people he's pissing off at Twitter are not what anyone would call fair and balanced. Go Elon!!!

Way over-paying for an unprofitable Social Media property just when the Social Media Craze has come to it's end doesn't look like much of a deal. Hmmm? What would make more sense - plowing $40B into battery development, spaceship development or a silly, failing, non-profitable social media sewer?

It was a huge win for free speech I'm glad he bought it cannot have one side controlling / feeding a narrative. Sure wish we could get a decent news channel next.

Talking-heads on a couple business outlets say Twitters actual value is between $10-15B. Saying this goes down as one of the top five blunders of business acquisitions. But he’s also smarter than the average bear and will most likely be drinking sweet lemonade from the rotten lemons he bought. After all in just a relative few short years his team is able to recover once disposable rockets that government backed NASA never had the foresight to accomplish. Like most projects of this magnitude only time will tell if Twitter will tweet or have its wings clipped -

No crystal ball here, but with tech stocks losing *cough THREE TRILLION DOLLARS *cough in market cap this year, I can't see Twitter being worth much at all. As for Musk, he is a bona fide "Master of the World" and as such he absolutely is capable of Big Effects and Big Things. However, he already has a lot of balls in play, and for Tesla to maintain the spectactular insane stock price he will be fighting off some very big competitors from here forward. There's only 24 hours in a day, even for Musk.

Maybe that's why he tried his damnedest to NOT BUY that turkey?

Fwiw, I don't think an "anything goes" approach is going to make it because most folks don't want to sift through the garbage and propaganda to form an opinion--at some point it gets exposed.

As a basic advertising business, in the end the advertisers will decide what they are willing to be associated with. Tweeters will consume endless bowls of gruel, but advertisers may not want to pay for it if it gets out of mainstream acceptability. And, I don't think they have been adding many new accounts for the past couple years. Their daily active users has been growing at a snails pace for 5 years already. They are 16th most popular social media app in a rapidly falling segment of business. What a buy!
