"Service" USB connector on The Three II?

Hello all,

Apologies if this has been answered before, but searching for USB and Service on the forums wasn't really fruitful, as one can imagine :)

So I am considering buying The Three II and I am trying to understand its features. Among other interesting things, one that caught my attention is the USB-A on the back labeled "Service" (NOT the USB audio input, which is type B). I couldn't find any mention of it in the manual or google, except one reviewer saying There is a USB socket for service purposes which seems to have power but it really doesn’t want to be used for this task  on AVForums.com.

I figured I could use that USB connector to power a Raspberry Pi Zero with a DAC hat, it works currently with an old USB charger rated 0.7A... apparently not?

Has anyone tried powering anything from that connector?

And also, does anyone know what that connector was meant for?

Thanks!
