geezin'
I recently bought a pair of Heresy 1. Ordered some Crites slant risers and when I flipped one over for install saw they had not finished the bottom of the speaker. I like the raw birch finish and am curious how difficult it would be to restore it. Is sanding the only route? or is there a chemical method that won't harm it?
Dave1291
Man those sound fantastic! Can I see the bottom of them? I agree with your thoughts on the refinish but I'd be more concerned w/match and what can of worms I could open up on the way. Could find something for the risers but I chose to go the Stones way on mine. 😂
OO1
stripper or 50/50 mineral spirits... 0000 wool , avoid circular movements , the gunk comes off with a plastic spatula , these speakers are Fir plywood with 1 outer ply of birch ,
