jcn3
I've run across a set of Heresy III 70th Anniversary for about $1500. They're beautiful but they're getting kinda close in price to a pair of used IVs. Would you get the 70th Anniversary Heresys at that price? I don't have a good feel for the pricing on limited edition models.
Shakeydeal
Only if you absolutely must have that finish. I'd probably opt for the IVs. That said there is at least one guy in the Audiogon forum that had both and kept the IIIs.

winglet
End of the day, if the Heresy III is the sound you want, and the 70th walnut is the look you like, paying a few hundred dollar premium for it isn't that big a deal. Personally, I'd be looking toward the Forte III for not much more money.
Steve.
Honestly there's not much you can buy new or used these days that sound as good for $1500. It is a future collector's item. Go for it
