Thank you! I just did it with a 50lbs fishing nylon. Good recommendation tho.

I decided to apply a polyurethane coat to protect the paint, and unfortunately the method that I was trying to do didn't work with my speakers, I just wing it, sanding as much as possible from the brush strokes and applied bee's wax. And I'm happy (ish) with the results. And they sound beautiful!
