995 is also one of the relatively few 15" woofer versions sporting a 22 network.  It should sound more bass-heavy!

Thanks, curious about why they cut the front board opening at 13” for a 15” woofer? And thoughts?

.  Not sure why a few "buck the trend".

it could very well be that  ,   depending on  a lack of  stocks  of  12 inch woofers ,  15 inch woofers versions of the shorthorn were simply swapped to fill  back-orders   and so ,exceptionally  a few speakers with the W22 networks shipped  with 15 inch woofers- the example being  Serial nos 993-994-995

Ok, what was this sold as 786 I know it’s loaded correctly for the speaker config and has a W2 network. 33? Or 22? And if I haven’t said it Thank you everyone for providing all this info. 😊image.jpeg.2efffbb29e74ccbf908d20101c4c8f8e.jpeg

1E166 was the last recorded serial number, so 666 in total seems to be correct.  At the beginning of the logbook it says:  "Began giving serial numbers to assembled Shorthorns both decorated and utility.  Started on 25 Jan 56 with ser. # 501".  That COULD imply that un-serialized units exist.
