zinixo
so i have 2x monolith 7channel amps rated at 200 watts rms all 7 channels driven in a 11 channel setup with a Denon avr4400 as the preamp :a pair of rp-280 f with matching center channel and am looking to add 3 pair of rp-500m for main ,sides and rear surrounds.[the rp-280s are to big for my current layout as I have my back door by one and the stairs by the other ,room is 11 by 15 [I will be moving within a few years and will then uses the extra pair of rp500msfor an additional side [13 channel once i get my new preamp]. my question is will these speakers be able to handle that kind of power [usually run my system around -10 to 0 db or reference] i am sure they would be fine as surrounds by am questioning them used as mains for the next few years. wuzzzer
Yes, they’ll be fine as long as there’s no audible distortion from them. You could use a 10,000 watt amp with pretty much any speaker under the same circumstances.
