Klipschbas
Hi, I bought a pair of RP600M and they have too much bass because I have them very close to the wall, can I damage them if I plug or close the rear ports?, can I use them with the rear ports closed in the long term? thank you. Deang
It won’t hurt anything, but you may not like what you hear.
OO1
reduce the bass to a lower level , no need to plug anything ........
JohnJ
@Klipschbas Welcome! Might sound harsh, but rtfm! With a rear port you have to adjust the placement in regards to the walls behind and beside a speaker. It has a big effect on the bass reproduction! Klipschbas
Thanks, the bad thing is that I don't have many options to place the speakers and there are some low frequency resonances that sound like they are blowing into a pot, maybe I can put bass reducers in the room or something, but I don't like to hang anything on the walls, well let's see what can be done.
