Mikekid
Always wanted a pair, but would never fit in our living room. Seems quite reasonable for these.

They would fit perfectly in my listening space, but I suspect my wife would kick me out of the house. 😭
Mikekid
Get those speakers and set them outside with ya! Crank it up!🙃👌Get a weather tarp for you and them! Or.....apparently she'd at least keep the speakers! (My wife loves that model too, but things/room....) She asked me once about changing the front area of the room to make them 'work'. Pretty awesome! Just knew they wouldn't have sounded well, and would have looked odd/out of place too. That set was used, reasonable price (way more than the posted ones here!) and in like new condition. Long ago now. Was bummed. But, been very happy for what we could use in our room over the years regardless. Fortes 🤝👌 You're in business.
Mikekid
The Klipsch Belle was originally introduced in 1971 and today it is considered the queen of the Klipsch heritage line. It is the only speaker system Paul Klipsch designed with a woman in mind, his wife whom he named the speaker after. As the story goes, Belle Klipsch wanted a less obtrusive, pleasing to the eye speaker system for their living room, yet without compromising the trademark Klipsch sound. Starting with the enclosure design of the famed La Scala system, Paul Klipsch tweaked the proportions of cabinet to give it a more balanced look and “beautified” it with grille cloth and high-grade veneer. Of course Belle couldn’t have been more pleased with the results, not to mention the thousands of wives thereafter. The Belle has a truly timeless esthetic appeal that seems to get even better with age. While the Belle Klipsch has been called the most beautiful heritage speaker system of all time, not many were sold. It is pretty much sonically identical to the La Scala system, which was priced approximately 55% lower (85% lower if you settled for a pair of unfinished Scalas) then the Belles. Because the buying demographic of Klipsch speakers was predominantly men, most of which weren’t concerned with style, you can understand why paying a premium for beauty was not appealing. Ironically, today, of all the Klipsch Heritage systems, the Belle has seen the biggest increase in value because there are relatively so few around. K-77-M High Frequency Driver/Horn: The famed compression driver /horn tweeter gives you vivid, sparkling high frequency detail beyond the range of audibility. You hear a sharply focused, lifelike stereo image. Dynamic range is breathtaking. Distortion is nowhere to be heard. K-55-V Alnico Mid Range Driver/Exponential Metal Horn: Midrange frequencies are the most critical to your enjoyment of music. In the Belle, these frequencies are capably handled by a powerful, smooth sounding compression driver/horn assembly. This midrange driver assists the Belle, in delivering an amazing 104 decibels of sound pressure when operating on just one watt of input power. This results in awesome dynamic range and distortion free response. K-33 Woofer: The K-33 fully takes advantage of it folded bass horn cabinet. Deep full-bodied bass that is not only heard but felt! Type AA Crossover: The passive crossover network of the Belle, is a vital component to the overall performance of the system and is a classic example of the KLIPSCH dedication to engineering excellence. This network takes incoming electrical information and assigns it to the proper driver to achieve the smoothest frequency response. Unmatched Craftsmanship: KLIPSCH cabinetry is the immediately evident indicator of the construction quality that has made KLIPSCH famous. Meticulously crafted by the finest craftsman in the business. Each pair is precisely matched for color and grain structure. One tiny flaw in one speaker and the pair is destroyed. The cabinet of the Belle, is also critical to its bass response since a large part of this cabinet forms the woofer horn. Belle Folded Bass Horn: The Belle’s folded horn woofer has long been the marvel of audio enthusiasts and engineers alike. The horn has always been the most efficient means of reproducing sound. But for deep bass, a horn of considerable length is required. KLIPSCH long ago solved this problem by "folding" a horn into a more compact size, resulting in unmatched bass reproduction.

Philip McDonald
Yeah Mann, I guess I have owned my KLIPSCH bells for approximately the past.? / I would say at least approximately 30 years., most people do not consider these audio file speakers which I can absolutely relate their point in the past I have owned acoustic electrostatic 2+2’s , magnanpans 3’a, , pro ac, Dueleavy, dalquist DQ 10’s, etc. too many to list seriously, they all came and went off to another land …. The KLIPSCH belles are the only speakers that I have owned the longest, all the above and the following in which I was pretty fortunate we’re always hooked up to good equipment like audio research Conrad Johnson VAC again and many many others, however, the belies just always did something for me that the others couldn’t oh I know and I’m well aware of they have many many faults And many many short Comings … First of all, not because I own them it doesn’t have the thing to do with my following statement, but as technically and aesthetically speaking, I think they are the most nicest and attractive looking loudspeaker that KLIPSCH ever released, I also have worked with them quite a bit with a bob Crites woofer yes it is a little bit better than the original K 33, I have also replaced the tweeters, the CROSSOVERS , several Also a mid range horn and driver also tried bi-ampping both active and passive, I really do prefer the bi ampping, but using an excellent single tube amp is also fine well, they get to the bottom line. All I can say is I am not an audio file. Those Belles speakers running a tube amp on the top and a solid-state Mac amp on the bottom. Are the most fun get down and around pair of speakers I have ever owned or kept this amount of time just in my personal humble opinion, speaking of just playing them passively all those heritage series loudspeakers like to see an output transformer. I am not a Macintosh guy whatsoever. The one reason I incorporated one of their older amps is because Macintosh is one of the few companies that still use output transformers that’s the way they were designed and that’s basically what Paul KLIPSCH used designed and played them on OK before you say wait a minute I’m talking about tube amplifiers / amplification that used output transformers I hooked them up too a tube OTL tube amp sounded awful, but yet a buddy of mine took them home and hooked them up to his set of splendors and it sounded fantastic, note there are a few other amplifiers solid State that use help put transformers, but you know I can’t think of any as of today other than Mac , grab a set of old Altec mono blocks yes they still use an output transformer But folks can say whatever they’ve like everyone is absolutely entitled their opinion, but with their awesome sound and virtually will play when anything imaginable & amplification wise well, I’m OG now but regardless I will never go back to conventional SPEAKERS in my life time , and I also would never go back to an inefficient speaker, I can vividly remember back then having 400 and 500 W mono blocks sitting on the floor that’s ridiculous just in my opinion Talking to KLIPSCH company a few years ago a gentleman out there stated to me that the bells were the hardest SPEAKERS to assemble and took the most time out of anything in their heritage line. it’s a shame they dropped them off their line, but from a business point of view, it did absolutely make sense. But I remember him stating to me it took two guys two days to assemble a set of bells. Yes they’re far from perfect but when they’re set up properly, they put me right where I want to be the last comment. Two of my buddies said when they were here listening their comment to me was they really have a mid range to die for this was just their opinion I didn’t say anything And they also have very high-end systems tens of thousands of dollar set ups and they really walk out of here wondering after the concert over, my one friend said I would grab a pair in a minute, but you guys know I just don’t have the proper room, but I think he’s working on it Sorry about the above script. I know there are many errors in it. This is all text. Talk from an iPhone as my Apple laptop is still being worked on happy listening to all and best of luck in your future AUDIO endeavors. 👍 Edited November 21, 2024 by Philip McDonald
