Kirt
I have a 25 year old set of Quartet speakers, and I need a replacement for one of the woofers. Are they available? If not, what is an acceptable substitute? Thank you.

OO1
ok , so next step would be to place a Wanted Ad in the Garage sale section , top of the page ,click on klipsch , scroll down to Garage sale. Question for you what's wrong with the woofer ?
Kirt
I think the voice coil is frozen. I can't move the cone at all with my fingers, and the other one moves freely. If so, is that a fixable problem? And thanks for your advice.
OO1
the woofer seems to have a defective voice coil .......any speaker shop can replace a VC , no need to recone the woofer , they remove the dust cap , unsolder the leads , remove the VC , clean the gap area , and in reverse mode , , they install a new VC with shims , solder the leads , re-glue the VC , 1 h labor plus parts

I’m lucky enough to have one a mile from my house!
