Curious, are there actual ticket numbers sent out?    I got a thank you email for the donation but nothing else.

Blah, we're family in here.  The Muesum is a great thing.  Everyone should think about joining and preserving the heritage of PWK.  Sure it's about the LS but I have zero reservations about any drawing they hold.  The Board Members and Klipsch associates aren't going to jeopardize squat on a less than honest drawing imo.

Now maybe we could hold a live drawing and have everyone on the planet jumping in on a pair of these one-of-a-kind beauties.  Think those of us that love Klipsch would actually have a sniff at winning?  Tickets would be gone in 15 minutes.

Corporate is on board and doing the RIGHT thing imo.  Preserving the heritage by donating a pair of juiced up Heritage speakers designed by the Chief and crew.  Drool factor?

Like ice-cream on a hot summer day.  Everybody wants some but only one kid has enough money or luck and he ain't sharin.  You're just along for the ride and drool factor.  If it's your brother or sister ya might get a lil bite.  Then you can smile.  Just my .02 worth.  :)

I was present at the drawing for a pair of Klipschorn AK6 that the Museum did a while back similar to this, which I had entered.  The drawing was held at the PWK Birthday Bash, two years ago if I'm remembering correctly.  There were no ticket numbers assigned beforehand for that contest either.  However, I saw how they generated the slips of paper (one per entry purchased per person) that went into the large bowl for selecting the winner.  Everything I saw was on the up and up.  I believe @Schu won that pair.

Noticed there is no “one per household” rule. I could do 105 entries.

I thought about buying all entries, but thought, for that money, I could just buy a pair when released. Of course you wouldn't have the first pair signed by the chief and the museum membership.

There should be an upgrade kit coming for La Scala AL5 and Klipschorn AK6 owners.  I'll be first in line for it.

Yes there will be. It’s just a matter of when to do it. But Michael, you will be first in line. Thanks my brother.

I'm not worried in the least about this being legit, a company that's been around this long doesn't stay in business by doing shady stuff.  Just was wondering.

Thanks for clearing it up.

Mr. Bonehead, the premise of this live video (during the last week of June) is for you to answer these questions on the live video with a shout out to person who asked. If you keep answering them the only thing to talk about will be how hot it is in Texas.

(Actually, I know you have about a million things to discuss, and probably time for 10.)

Hi T58.

I generally end up running it (which voids me from the contest unfortunately), and I do it with the our Trustee-Treasurer who is a CPA in Little Rock for a national accounting firm in Little Rock, myself (attorney at law) and another trustee.

If we do it as a physical drawing (tickets or cards) the media is uniform size weight and color. Names and number of entries are recorded manually on a list (I don’t trust computers) and this is triple checked by each trustee.

So the list of paid sponsors is triple checked with our payment system (that send receipt), which is cross checked for total number of entries, and triple checked with physical entries.

So, every entrant is verified and cross checked three times, the number of entries for each entrant is verified and cross-checked three times, and finally the number of physical entries is visually verified and cross checked 3 times and go in the bin. If it is a physical selection we have historically had the Mayor of Hope (former Trustee) do the honors.

The number of entries a couple of years ago was about 800-900, this one will be similar. Last year it took 4 hours to prepare and verify (I’m told the attorney slowed things down).

After the event we photographed that ticket, sealed it. Then sealed all of the remaining ones with the master spreadsheet and advised anyone who was visiting hope they were welcome to inspect them (still have them, also still have the Cornwall giveaway tickets, etc. that all members were eligible for).

This year we may do assigned numbers and a random number generator (if I can find one I have confidence in). If we do it that way we will send an email to all sponsors for this campaign and advise them if they would like their numbers to email back and we will furnish them.

There are apps out there that will do all of this, but they keep 5 to 10%, and what our volunteer work crews can do with that doesn’t justify that premium. I/we would rather volunteer the time, KNOW it’s right, and above board.

If you, or any other sponsor, would like to help with the process, we can certainly use all the help we can get, just shoot me a PM or email me at Travis at Klipschmuseum dot org (note org).

I’m glad you asked, people should know whether it is something that we do whether it be for members, or sponsors, or be it something little, big, or one of a kind, everyone eligible is in, and at the level they are supposed to be.

There's no reason that he can't both answer here now and do the same Q&A for the livestream audience.  🙂

I was hoping to have an update on date and time of Listening Lounge, I sent another inquiry out just now and hope we will have something definitive to announce next week. The entire country is on vacation until Monday.

I anticipate we will go over hump on Listening Lounge and can call a cut off date.

I will update the moment I hear something from the brass.
