geezin'
Strange thing...when I saw the title for this thread the first thought was "there ain't nuttin' but shit in the '90s." So I went looking and I think I may have missed something.
nickyboy6100
I grew up in the 90’s. I wasn’t a big fan of mainstream music. Probably because I thought I was too cool for it. I remember always wondering how a lot of bands got so much playtime on the radio. Now, looking back, I would love for the music standard to be as good as it was in the 90’s. At least most bands/artists still used instruments to make music. I did find out later in life that it wasn’t because I was too cool. I have kids that remind me of that everyday.

Invidiosulus
This track from No Doubt was literally the moment that convinced me to learn to play bass.  It’s not everyone’s cup of tea but they were a pretty tight band.

Paige Hamilton absolutely nailed it on guitar.  My buddy and I(50 and 42 respectively) managed to not die in the mosh pit. Although there was one point where some guy bounced his head off the metal plate in my buddies forearm and there was a distinctly metallic clanking sound.
