dwb83 Posted July 21, 2024 Posted July 21, 2024 (edited) I am looking to sell my 1984 model Heresy speakers. Can someone give me an estimate of the value of these speakers? These are a matched pair with sequential serial numbers (8439284, 8439285) The cosmetic condition of the cabinets are almost flawless. No stains or chips or dents, etc. Labels on the back have no tears, stains or fading. These have been adult owned in a non smoking home. Crossover capacitors have Bob Crites upgrade. I have not seen a pair in better condition. Edited December 9, 2024 by dwb83 Item sold 2 Quote
CWOReilly Posted July 21, 2024 Posted July 21, 2024 A lot will depend on your location, potential shipping, and where you plan to advertise them. Certainly have nice pattern which should help. I’d expect no less than $800, but eBay might double that. Those that know like the 1.5. 1 Quote
DeanG Crossovers Posted July 21, 2024 Posted July 21, 2024 Where are located? Also, what about them makes them 1.5’s? 1 Quote

Heresy I made in the cut over year(s) to Heresy II include drivers from the Heresy II model and different crossovers. These have the mid-range horns K-53 (same as Heresy II) and the E-2 crossover. I am located near Little Rock, Arkansas. I have them listed on Ebay but I may have them overpriced and need to see if I should adjust. 2 Quote

dwb83 Posted July 22, 2024 Author Posted July 22, 2024 Over the past couple of years in looking at other Heresy speakers for sale in ads I have always been able to find flaws in the them. Mainly cabinets issues, vernier chipping, corners dented, scratches, stains, etc. These speakers the cabinets do not have those issues. They look like they were pulled out of the box. Quote

I contacted FedEx and had them estimate the cost to ship them to Maine from Arkansas and price was around $375. So this would be worst case. FedEx will pack them for only $20/each, so that is a bargain. Anybody have another way to ship a set of speakers? Quote
