trippg
Hello All, This is my first post in the klipsch forums, but I think it is finally time. I am somewhat of a beginner with HT, but have learned a lot from surfing these forums. I currently have: Yamaha RX-A770 7.2 atmos enabled AVR SF-2 towers SC-1 center channel Klipsch R-41SA paradigm titan v.3 bookshelves as rear surrounds. MTX SW1212 12" powered sub. Currently running the 5.1 through sub pre-out. I now have dolby atmos capability and need help picking matching atmos speakers and potentially matching bookshelves. Through research, I've read that R41SA speakers are a good option to be mounted directly on top of the towers as height speakers. also looking for matching klipsch bookshelves as rear surrounds to replace the paradigms. It sounds mint right now after YPAO optimization, but would like to have matching speakers with optimal frequencies. My space is rather small (12'x10'). Thanks in advance. wuzzzer
The R41SA should match the other speakers pretty well timbre-wise. I’d highly suggest against mounting them on top of other speakers as up-firing speakers though since they will add virtually nothing compared to mounting them on the wall as height speakers. Better yet is to get in-ceiling speakers for Atmos.

I have read everywhere that in ceiling is better, but I am in an apartment so the idea of up-firing seemed seamless with no mounting required. i did consider purchasing velcro strips to mount them on the wall, but I just think the visible speaker wire (even with covers) looks super tacky. I purchased a set of r-51m's for $100 locally so I replaced the titans as rear surrounds and gave em to my father for his 5.1 setup. How'd I do? Sounds phenomenal after YPAO and the r41sa definitely provide something to the experience that wasn't there before. even listening to dolby atmos tracks on apple music is pretty cool. definitely worth the $180 I paid.
