hanksjim1 Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 Maybe I missed it...did they suggest a retail price? 1 Quote

Based off the spec sheet, they seem to fall between the Heresy and forte in terms of performance. My guess is they’ll be between the forte and Cornwall for price. ($4,498-$6,598) Quote

Mike_S Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 Looks beautiful! Wonder why they chose the Hersey woofer over the others? That is the last speaker on my mind when it comes to bass. Would be interested in them at $5000, no way at $8500 Quote
Thaddeus Smith Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 but don't you dare touch the crossovers. 2 2 Quote
hanksjim1 Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 Maybe I shouldn't have sold those 811b's... 1 Quote

mikebse2a3 Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 Congratulations to Roy and Devon…!!! I enjoy seeing people do what they love and this feels a lot like the way it was with the UJ where a bunch of guys got together and made friendships because of the love of audio and horn speakers. miketn 👏🙂 3 1 Quote
Peter P. Posted September 12, 2024 Posted September 12, 2024 Interesting concept; interesting speaker. Yeah; the price confuses me because you can buy a pair of Cornwalls for $2k less. It's not as efficient as a Heresy IV, and it's rare to see a 2-way speaker with a 12" woofer, but I imagine the woofer/tweeter pairing along with the crossover gives it a signature sound. I hope someone posts a link to a review when one is published. I think the greatest takeaway is the front vent. I sure wish the Heresy IV was front vented instead of rear ported, as much for flexible placement as for marketing the Heresy IV as a "mini-Cornwall" as I think a front vent adds to the distinctive bass quality. 1 Quote
The Dude Posted September 12, 2024 Posted September 12, 2024 Am I missing something? Many people have been run off of this forum for making "Frankenstein" speakers. Maybe I need to read up on it, but what makes this special enough to get a spot on the Klipsch home page? Or is this an actual Klipsch speaker? I see it was built in hope. What was so special about this horn over many others? 3 1 Quote
mikebse2a3 Posted September 12, 2024 Posted September 12, 2024 I see this collaboration as a work of art with a distinctive sound and look which will speak to those who appreciate it’s unique qualities. I’m sure it’s not cheap to make those horns, stands or cabinets and thus limited production all add to cost as well as the engineering time spent by Roy again for a very limited production. Everyone has their value system and speaking for myself I see real value here and to each their own as it should because nothing is for everyone. miketn 🙂 4 1 Quote

John Chi-town Posted September 12, 2024 Posted September 12, 2024 The value will probably take a major nosedive from $8,500.00 just like the McLaren series...... 3 Quote
