newbe
Hello oh wise ones,  I had to sell my epic cf-4 and I really miss themðŸ˜. My question is can I make an r-120sw (or even 2) perform as replacement base driver's to compliment my klf-30's? This would be mostly for 2-ch. audio.  Thanks in advance, Steve  Edited September 17, 2024 by newbe
Ceptorman
Those should work fine. Up step up to the RP1200SW.
derrickdj1
The klf-30's are some great sounding speakers. A sub or two should fill that low end.
the real Duke Spinner
I do not believe mine need a Sub Music dependant of course. 🤔
pbphoto
Very impressed with the RP-1000SW I picked up in May for 2-channel with my H3's.
Joeyhere
You can go for RP1200SW.
Peter P.
I believe "tight, punchy bass" calls for a sealed subwoofer and not a ported model. Â You could get an SVS sub as they offer both sealed and ported models, or a HSU Research sub and have the best of both worlds; they provide plugs for the ports to change as you desire.

Totally doable.
BRBNGUY
I use M&K subwoofers- V75 for my main room, and a MX70B for my secondary.  I got them both off of marketplace. I replaced a HSU VTF subwoofer and a SVS SB3000 subwoofer - The bass from the M&K's is so precise and deep. The V75 in Home Theater blew away the SB3000 - and it was $100.

The V75 and MX70B are indeed known for their precise and deep bass performance. It's impressive that the V75 outperformed the SVS SB3000 in your home theater setup, especially considering the price difference. Marketplace can be a goldmine for audio enthusiasts looking for high-quality equipment at a bargain. Enjoy your enhanced audio experience!

He's pretty low key and the things he showed me about subs just dropped my jaw. This guy has a warehouse with tons of differnt speakers and subs and has tested just about everything and these are his favorites. First, I have listened to various subs and have been to trade shows, but when I heard these subs for two channel, I was absolutely shocked because I never realized how lightning fast they can be and I was dead wrong thinking otherwise. The person who designed these subs had apparently split off from SVS, but he does not price gouge. I'm sorry, but SVS are way over rated and way over priced. Check these out. https://www.powersoundaudio.com/collections/subwoofers?srsltid=AfmBOoo9Jn_Bzcnudlcu7nSYDCn8gotWknAx1r0r8vWu_uQa8a6_LZiv  I normally only listen to jazz, blues and classic rock. The reason he showed me this sound video was to demonstrate how deep and how fast the attack was. Bass kicks in about 50 seconds into the video. This truly shocked me, because I just couldn't fathom the speed of the attack. I'm still trying to wrap my head around it. Truly the best bass I've ever heard in my life regardless of cost, speaker or any other sub by far!
