Another R28-F reciever match question

Hi All. Im new to the forum and nowhere near being a seasoned audiophile. I like music to sound good and loud. My performed genre is rock and classic rock. I'm looking to replace my Onkyo TX-RZ820 with the Marantz 70S stereo reciever to match with the R28-F speakers. My goal is to make the R28s sound cleaner and louder. 

Will the Marantz 70s out perform the Onkyo in sound quality and db level?

Your Onkyo is rated at 130 watts/2 ch driven.  That is plenty of power for speaker with a sensitivity of 98 db.  The Marantz is not as powerful but, more than enough for most people with those speakers unless you are in a very large room.
