deafbykhorns Posted November 15, 2024 Posted November 15, 2024 Will Klipsch ever cover those horns on the Jubilee's? I can't sell these to the interior decorator (WAF) since they have a slight industrial look with the open horns. They would of been in my room 6 months ago if they were covered... Quote
babadono Posted November 15, 2024 Posted November 15, 2024 Are you referring to the Heritage Jubilee? If so the bass bin is now wide enough that cabinet for the "tophat" could be made. Pretty sure Klipsch would say have at it. Quote
Coytee Posted November 15, 2024 Posted November 15, 2024 I've never seen them in person but I'd have to think you could "simply" install one. The K402 (the older version, so I presume this one also) has holes on the top and sides. This is what the wooden frame should attach to (but I don't know what 100% on the new version) When putting together, get some fabric, wrap it around the front of the horn and then install the wooden frame for it. Little doubt (to me) that would work but again, I've never seen them in person. 1 Quote
Coytee Posted November 15, 2024 Posted November 15, 2024 Just read Babadono's comment (who cut in line just before I posted to beat me to it!!) Maybe you need to define what "if they were covered" means? How bout a room divider!? 1 Quote
Schu Posted November 16, 2024 Posted November 16, 2024 tell the significant that they are behind your new 150" projector screen... Quote

This should work but may be a two or more person job since you would probably want someone holding the horn and the face board after unscrewing the horn from the face board. I'll try to remember to post some pictures from behind the face board when I get home from the trip to Hope. The other option would be to have some custom grills made that friction fit inside the hole in the face board on front of the K-402 horn. No options available from Klipsch. I asked when I got mine. I was worried about dust in the horn. However, not much dust seems to collect on the horn. Quote
