Klink
I had the older version of the Promedia 2.1 BT. They sounded awesome! I'm a professional bass player and have to learn and listen to all types of music. Unfortunately, the satellite speakers no longer work. I decided to give the THX version a try. First thing I noticed was the woofer weighed half the weight as mine. When I plugged them in, I was extremely disappointed. The speakers sounded thin with not a lot of mids, and the woofer didn't come close to the BT version. Why is this? I also noticed that I had to turn up the volume on the woofer to around 8 in order to match what was once around 3 on my older woofer. I quickly sent them back to Amazon. Anyone else have this problem? I'm thinking of getting the Heritage 2.1 but there's a lot of bad comments about them, regarding a hiss, and the auto timed shut off. But I'm thinking the R-40PM's for better bass response. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Rob
YK Thom
I ran into an impossibly good deal on the Promedia 2.0 this morning. Ordered it and am looking forward to changing things up at my desk. I have been using a JBL Charge 4 as a computer speaker for a couple years.
