Looking to sell Jubliee Fully Horn-Loaded Loudspeaker

Hello!

My Dad bought these massive speakers a month before he passed. I have no idea how to sell something like this. Can anyone advise me? I made a post here :

On reddit and their main advice was to post them here for advice!
So here I am looking for either someone to buy ideally the whole system or advice on how to sell this. I tried contacting klipsch but its well out of its 90 day return policy. As far as I know they've only ever been used twice. I think I can get around 22K for each speaker based on what people were saying on reddit what do you think? I also have info on the subwoofers on request.

More Pictures of the system here: https://imgur.com/a/hdxPYn0

What kind of information are people going to want on the system?

The speakers are in Lexington Kentucky. If someone wants them fingers crossed they can come pick them up.

You may find a buyer on this forum.  Do you have the original packing materials and paperwork?  You may have been misinformed about the value.  I believe these are $35k a pair new including shipping.  Yours appear mint, but you’ll still take a bit of a hit since they’re used.  Another option may be to sell them to a dealer, but they will buy them at a price that allows them to make a profit on resale.  Paducah Home Theater in Paducah, KY is probably the leading dealer of the Jubilee speakers in the country.  I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s where your dad bought them.  Perhaps see what they’d offer you?  At least it would give you a bottom price for a private sale.

Following.  I can't find a lot of information on those amps.  Anyone familiar with them?

Never heard of them myself either until now- looks nice and would love to have one.

Indy Audio Labs, of the USA, the owner of the brands Aragon and Acurus, has announced a new 2-channel class A/B, 200W dual-monoblock amplifier, the Titanium.

The Aragon Titanium, based on the Aragon 8008 platform, is part of “The Elements Collection”

“The Titanium represents the pinnacle in 2-channel amplification in a single chassis from Aragon. It is one of the only truly balanced, truly discrete, and genuinely American-made powerhouse amplifiers on the market today.”

@GroovyTuesday First off, I'm sorry for your loss.

I think the first thing you need to do is determine what you'd be willing to sell them for, which of course needs to be in line with what others would be wiling to pay (unless you want to keep them).  Obviously, your price will need to be less that what they could be acquired for new, which would include shipping.  You should determine what the current price of new ones are.  There haven't been very many used ones for sale, so you have that going for you.  However, their size, weight, and price will limit buyers. I think I've only seen three sets for sale used.  I recall asking prices ranged from about $22-27k (for the pair), so you'll probably need to be somewhere near that range.

Once you determine your sales price, here are a few places you can sell:

1. Right here on the Klipsch Forum garage sale section.  Odds are, the people that know about these speakers are already looking here.  Posting is free.

2. U.S. Audio Mart.  This is now a well-known site for selling audio gear.  It's currently free to post.

3. Audiogon.  This site has been around for 20+ years.  It used to be free, then the cost to post has been gradually going up to the point where it can be a bit expensive for what your speakers will sell for.

4. Facebook Marketplace.  Only in the last couple of years have I realized how busy this site is, to the point where I now look here for many used items.  I've not tried to sell anything here but I suspect you'd have to deal with the usual riff raff that you'd expect from Craigslist, but maybe less so.  As a buyer, I've seen some of that from sellers.  Posting is free.

5.  eBay.  This would allow you to get the highest bid, but of course you would have to pay eBay fees and you might have to be willing to arrange shipping.  You could state local pick up only, but that could lead to closing bids that you have to cancel because the bidder didn't notice that.  Buyers would also have to pay sales tax and they will likely factor that into how much they are willing to bid.  With all these things considered, eBay may end up with a lower net sales price for you compared to other options.

6. Craigslist.  I'd probably avoid this for what you are selling.  The hassle probably won't be worth your time.  But it is free and easy to post.

There are other audio sites, such as Audio Asylum, that also have for sale sections, but I think they would be unlikely to draw anyone new that isn't already looking on the Klipsch forum.  Of course, you can post in more than one place.

Good luck with your sale.
