Dmann
Can someone direct me to 'speaker break in' discussion. Or layout procedures. I have new set of r 800's in a fairly small living room/sound studio.
billybob1
Welcome! While waiting, you can do a search using the forum's search. Also a picture of the room if want and ballpark dimensions, including height. After a week or 2 , you could notice a difference when listening. Às of now, they should sound good. Others here will say more. Is this a 2 channel or home theater setup? Thanks, @Dmann

I have new set of r 800's in a fairly small living room/sound studio. Play them continuously if you can get that first 100 hours out of the way as quickly as possible. Turn them up as often and long as possible and play a wide variety of music through them. Some say it takes 100's of hours, 400? to fully break in. I try and get 100 through them then just enjoy after that.

Dmann
Fabulous replies, at least I don't have to be concerned with the occasional 'crank up'. 2 channel for now, have one more smaller set to make it a 4 channel. It's about 25' x 14' open space, other than the small piano and an 8 piece drum set. I've never liked the term 'kit' since I don't actually construct the drums. 🤪 Thin walls that i will likely begin using some sound batting soon. Thank you everyone. derrickdj1
Your speakers are just fine and no need to do anything other than use them as intended. Work on placement, which will affect the sound to a greater degree than breaking in speakers.
