Chorus 1 more power

We all like the three C's, clean, crisp and clear.  It is likely the amp and speakers are showing some age.  A new amp may be cheaper than upgrading an old amp with new capacitors, etc. and can be more powerful. Fresh XO for the speakers may get you a more lively response.

 

In most cases changing the amp for 6 to 4 ohms or 6 to 8 ohms makes no real difference for most basic 100 amps/AVR.

My chorus crossovers are pretty well mint they didn't get much use mabe 100 hours on them if that they sound juts as good today as the day I bought em I was thinking eventually upgrading them to the crites crossovers but for now I'm gonna throw some more power to em and enjoy em

If things look good with the XO and amp, a little detox on the contact points should clean away years of oxidation and may help for only a few bucks at the local hardware store.  Good Luck and enjoy.

Ya I'm gonna go with the anthem mca 225 as I got an anthem mrx 540 av receiver and it will match it plus I like the look of the anthem

Where are you located?  Maybe a forum member who lives close to you might have a quality 200w/ch amp for you to borrow and take a test drive before you sink 3K into a new amp.

Yamaha M85 or a B&K 4420 are really good amps with Chorus.
