Hakuna
Dear Klipsh fanatics I recently started building my own speakers again, especially horns. The classic W bin bass cabinet appeals to me (comes from PA disco technology). I have understood from this forum and the reviews on the internet that the bass and low reproduction of these speakers is still somewhat disappointing despite the 15 inch woofer. Now I want to build these cabinets and adjust them for two times Visaton TIW 300 high end woofers. The resonance frequency of the original La Scale 15 '' woofer is 32 hz The resonance frequency of the Visaton TIW 300 12 '' woofer is 25 hz Question has anyone ever had a real hi-fi speaker with rubber suspension in these cabinets? because the original K 33 speaker has a stiff paper suspension. In the meantime I am busy building real wood exponential horns. Here is a link and some photos. I will build the bass cabinet, which is derived from the La Scala speakers, at a later stage, hopefully with two times 12'' woofers so that I can experience more bass and low frequencies. Marvel
This forum is not specifically a diy forum. There are other places to post your builds and be critical of Klipsch (as you are doing in a not so subtle way). And exponential horns? Really?
