ghen35
I have a Hollywood Plus decoder card on my computer and I was trying to figure out how to watch my widescreen only DVDs in full screen. I read something about zooming in so that it looks like full-screen, but the Hollywood Plus does not have a zoom feature? Any suggestions? ------------------ My Pros are here...there goes the kittens in the neighborhood!
jjayb
You need to look for the setting "aspect ratio" I think. Or something about "pan and scan". Sorry can't be more helpful. Very, very tired.zzzzz
XPhys71
I think only software players offer the zoom feature (as far as I know). I have a Creative Dxr3 and it's basically the same as your card. WinDVD and PowerDVD offer different types of zoom/pan/scan features.
LoW_KeY
All I can say is get used to it, most of the DVD movies play in a 2.35 format where as others play in a 1.85, I have a DVD player for the computer and my TV. The Panasonic one on my TV I can get rid of the widescreen if it's a 1.85 if it's a 2.35 it makes the letter box real small, strange thing is that it doesn't distort anything either. As for the computer I have PowerDVD and WinDVD and you can get rid of it... but your going to be looking at distortion and not seeing everything and I do mean everything! *not unless I'm doing something wrong* KC
