YK Thom Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 I had an advert for the Promedia 2.0 pop up on my computer last week. Crazy good price...$89.00! Too good to pass on , so I ordered a set. They arrived last night and I've just hooked them up. I am quite impressed. These are the nicest sounding small computer speakers I've come across. Like many, I don't expect a lot from such products, they are just small plastic speakers and are there to get the job done and that is about that. Right off the bat moving back to stereo was an eye (ear?) opener for me. For the past few years I've been using a JBL Charge 4 as my computer speaker that double duties on the balcony in the summer, so I have grown quite accustomed to mono. I've noodled around with the placement ( took about 3 minutes), and they image very well - far beyond my expectations. The sound feels as though it is coming from my screen. If you are looking for computer/desk speakers I highly recommend them. Quote
wuzzzer Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 I had a pair years ago. I really liked them as well. Pretty awesome sound and output for their size. 1 Quote
YK Thom Posted December 14, 2024 Author Posted December 14, 2024 They do sound better than something in this price range has any right to. Quote
NADman Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 I've had mine for over 10 years and Yes, they sound great. Because the volume and bass controls are so rarely used you may find them giving you a bit of noise after a while. Easy fix. Pull the little pod forward and it pops right off. A little Deoxit and your good for another few years. Done mine 2-3 times. 1 Quote
