I've enjoyed all our conversations on here, as well as following after you above the speed in Hope, Arkansas while my buddy smoke weed as we were going to our dinner venue at at Pilgrimage. Lol, but really hope you are readjusting to the post-Klipsch transformation.
mopardave
I made a statement on here when the gestapo showed up to ban us from talking about modding our Klipsch speakers. I still think it would have been a better plan to use the Billy Mays sales theory, sell more at a lower price. Nope, they instead build then cheaper and charge twice as much and thought they would run with the big dogs of $20,000 and $50,000 speakers. Looks like that plan did not work out too well. Sorry to see where they are headed, been a Klipsch owner for 40 years.

Well, Imho I don't think that's it...Markets, Hobbies, and listening habits change and large speakers aren't going to be sold in volume because the demand is not there. Otoh, Klipsch will remain a viable company based on reputation and changing dynamics and possibly Hope keeping afloat with the larger theater products. That's my take over morning coffee. {Note: In that scenario they could keep a limited supply of Heritage going}
BattleOoze
Whatever the new ownership brings, I truly hope they will release a Cornwall V speaker. With advancements in Klippel NFS technology and FEA analysis of motor systems, it feels like the perfect horn speaker for low-wattage SET amps is closer than ever to becoming a reality.
Schu
I think the Heritage line only really needs three, maybe four, speakers... Heresy or Cornwall, Las Scala and Klipschorn the rest of the line can be prosumer chinese stuff and Professional line.

I’m thinking that a rag-tag bunch of wealthy, maybe some less wealthy, investors just buy it out? Or buy it back, might be a better way to look at it? Harley-Davidson fans bought it back. I don't know its value, but if a buy back happens, I'm in!

OO1
Gentex is a military supplier based in Michigan with much higher technology capabilities from manufacturing , testing , prototyping ,and quality control standards , it's excellent news for Klipsch . Marvel
Maybe they could design and get built more reliable internal amps for all those bluetooth speakers.

You have no idea how close we came to losing this place. If you want to blame someone, blame me. I’m the one that suggested to Roy to bring the hammer down and to change the direction of the modifications section. 2 years and people are still pissing and moaning about it. Get over it. 5

Schu
I know there ARE a lot of Companies that take on all comers when it comes to criticisms, and they openly empower modifications... they embrace the diatribe. Many.

Deang
Sure. Companies you list are undoubtedly engaged in the aftermarket parts business - like Harely, etc. Harley has 5000 employees. How many does Ford have. Hope has like 50?
Zen Traveler
I think we are discussing two different things here. 1) Klipsch as part of a multinational corporation and 2) The speakers that the Paul Klipsch is responsible for building the family owned company on. Playing Stereo on large speakers isn't what most people do nowadays , and even fewer than in Paul's day. Heck, I gotta wonder how much longer "Home Theater" (at least speakerwise) is going to be around. 🧐 On 12/23/2024 at 12:22 PM, JohnA said: On 12/23/2024 at 9:39 AM, Zen Traveler said: Well, Imho I don't think that's it...Markets, Hobbies, and listening habits change .... If you want to blame someone, blame me.... Initially, when Roy got back involved with discussions they also had a plan to revamp older speakers with newer parts...Excellent! In that regard I understand Dean's logic, but unfortunately, we've come full circle to the fact that a used Klipsch Heritage Speaker is still probably the best bang-for-your speaker buck, new or used in today's market and that is who KLIPSCH is competing with. That's my take. Merry Christmas!
