I should think it will be around for a while anyways. A lot of work is probably being done on the big picture items. I don't think they will be getting down into the weeds for small stuff right away. As it is just a part of the larger website I wouldn't think that there is much cost to having this up. My two cents worth anyway.

You have to dig some but there is a lot of factual detail about Klipsch speakers that their own call center support desk doesn't even know. If they decide to drop it, perhaps it could get moved to another non Klipsch location. But someone would have to foot the bill on that scenario.

I believe that. On a more personal note, I'd like to have access to about 10,000 posts of mine and threads  that no longer are available ....Now THAT would be something interesting to go back and revisit. If they exist I hope someone can give me access. Not just for my words, but other's Valuable content as well.

 I still visit this place but as I'm sure you're well aware its a shell of its former self- to lose this place now would be significantly less dramatic than just a few years ago. Most threads / post are not even Klipsch related and if they are its some newbie asking why their BestBuy bluetooth speaker won't connect.

I do think if they were to shut the forum down, the continuous flow of word of mouth residual sales would slow down considerably.  I know many of my Klipsch purchases, new and used, were prompted by forum member suggestions and good advice.

I really hope that's not the current criteria for judging how well Klipsch the brand is doing...IOW, the "Forum" concept may be what's archaic and Social Media is where it's at for them. As I reported earlier, AVSFORUM still gets alot of advice traffic,but the "Klipsch Owner's Thread" being on page 14 of their Speaker Forum and last comment being on Oct 28th (nothing over Christmas 😮) not a good sign. We both remember when it was one of the hottest threads over there.

I've been here since 2000 and understand the Forum has changed along with Klipsch Company dynamics. I absolutely love my dozen or so KLIPSCH speakers but am satisfied enough to feel the need to upgrade...Otoh, I feel Klipsch Corp has benefited from several/many of us giving back to the company (or Art as I like to think about it 😊) by giving our advice through experience...

 

In fact, we've come full circle: Folks come here to get Customer Service on other Klipsch products that aren't speaker related and I dont think anyone from Klipsch is reading them and THAT can't be good for the company. My 2 cents over morning coffee.

Fwiw, the reason I still come to the Klipsch Forum on a now limited basis is because the company and Forum has changed. That's not a negative statement but a fact of life. I joined to ask questions and learn about Home Theater in 2000...

 

Thanks to @Amy, @Trey Cannon, and even Roy (can't remember his current screen name) made me feel like part of the Klipsch Family by what we were able to discuss in the (semi-private) BULLSHIT  Forum. I never met Paul Klipsch but from what I learned about him is that he'd love the conversations/debates that occured in there for almost 15 years! 

 

Again, I'm sure Klipsch will go on as a company but this Forum is part of their Family Business legacy and it would be interesting to see it go on...Otoh, I can only get so excited about a speaker, regardless how awesome it is now unless someone wants to pay me. 😎 Lol. Hope everyone is doing well prior to the New Year.

I wouldn't miss all the misinformation that has been posted here.

 

That's the problem. It's hard to monitor and filter out the errors posted. We know people have called customer support and been given wrong information. It must drive Roy a bit crazy.

Thanks! He won't remember me cuz he's a genuine Klipsch Icon and genius that I respect. We felt comfortable sharing religious views, which seemed to divide us politically and those were interesting conversations that I still think about today.

I'm not really sure what Customer Service problems Roy could be dealing with concerning Heritage Speakers given their awesomeness- I'm a Home Theater guy from way back and think a specially designed Center Speaker would be cool, along with a horn loaded sub but I sadly don't have the space. 😑 Fwiw, I'm guessin' he's excited for retirement and has no concern with the rest of the design problems. Dunno. Respect.

I have incredible respect for Roy and all the fine folks in Hope. The Heritage systems, even the newer ones with active electronics are manageable. All the smaller stuff with built in amps and BT seems harder to control.

 

They've lost good people, though.

Big Conglomerates that buy up Sonus Faber, Klipsch, Onkyo, Integra, etc. , offer what? A similar product with different names to give you choice.  Oh, where are the unique products going to come from without the corporate bottom line coming in 1st. Sonus Faber and McIntosh were premium brands, will they be dumbed down to increase sales.  Audiophile may become a generic term due to mass marketing.  This may be all hyperbole?  Invest in Sonos?
