wuzzzer Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Since the new year is upon us, does anyone have any projects or goals for their theater or audio systems? This year I’d like to upgrade my 65” TV to a 75” or larger. 3 Quote
jjptkd Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Yes- I want to finish my CH-II cabinet / kpt-325 build likely my last speaker project then its time to liquidate all extra speakers and parts I've collected over the years. Might send my Sunfire Vacuum Control Center in for a refurb (just to keep it fresh) but other than that I can say I'm quite happy with my speakers and systems. 2 Quote
YK Thom Posted January 1 Posted January 1 I just picked up an Apple TV 4 to replace the my (very) old and non-supported version. It works very well streaming and feeding my Marantz. We are talking about getting a larger, probably 65" TV this year as well. 2 Quote
Ceptorman Posted January 1 Posted January 1 My audio (2 channel and HT) is very good at the moment (all Palladium) my 65" TV is ok also, but I have been thinking about a drop down screen and projector. 2 Quote

It would be great to see the return of a Palladium like line. 2 Quote

Moderators Travis In Austin Posted January 3 Moderators Posted January 3 Whole house audio using powered speakers connected to wifi. It's being a bit of a challenge. 1 Quote
totalcomfort Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Tweaking on my active system, since Emotiva or i should say Dirac quit supporting my xmc1 it takes a little more time. Going to build some smaller speakers for the garage/workshop. Have a bunch of motorcycle work to do over the winter and need some music. 2 Quote
JMeader Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Just moved to a fantastic senior center but our unit is very small. Trying to make my very large La Scala's work in a very small 2nd bed room, my listening position is maybe 4 ft from the speakers. Any ideas from La Scala owners would be appreicated Happy New Year & Enjoy The Music 3 Quote
retep_085 Posted January 9 Posted January 9 I want to have full fledged 5.1.4 system until the end of the 2025. So far I have just a avr and a pair of RP-6000F II . My next purchase is going to be a 504 CII as a center channel. Then I will get a sub in march or april. Have not decided one which sub I will get. in summer or autum I will going to get the rear speaker. 2 Quote
Schu Posted January 9 Posted January 9 I'd also like to assemble a 5 channel system for HT, but I don't want to break the bank on it. Maybe 5 Heresys on stands or something similar. A Focal 300 HT in-walls are also an option, but I would prefer 'on walls'. 1 Quote
Dale A B Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Retired last year and have been listening 75/25% streaming/cd. No interest in any upgrades. Plan to keep thinning out the cd and lp collection. I will say i still enjoy my stock Epic Cf4 vers3 just fine. They will be 30 years old on 08/14/2025. 2 Quote

w.brown78 Posted Thursday at 02:50 PM Posted Thursday at 02:50 PM Hello everyone! new to the Forum : ) I hope to build and finish my seat riser and run wire and cable in my home theater build Quote
Bigdnfay1 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago 2025 goals. Had been wanting to upgrade my CD-DVD player. Been using an OPPO 83. Found a killer deal on a BDP-103 last month so I jumped right on it. Have wanted one since they came out. One other item on the list is to build a pair of LaScalas. Already have the woofers and lumber. Just need to work out the top end. Need to get it done. I'm not getting any younger. Quote

Then, bringing ovrrall gain up made the bass seem louder. For lower level listening, this helps a lot. The reason being most music is mixed for a certain level of playback the fletcher-munson curver menans that as your volume drops ( lower level listening), the higher and lower frequencies drop (due to how our hearing works).
