DLStryker
What glue is recommended for adding bracing without screws?
Edgar
Properly applied, "plain ol' yellow glue" (Titebond, Elmer's Wood Glue, etc.) will be stronger than the wood it's attached to.

Idontknow
I’ve done woodworking for over 30 years. Titebond II is by far the best.
gigantic
I'm a master carpenter and former cabinetmaker. I use Titebond 1 (red cap) or II, (blue cap) but not Titebond III and never polyurethane or epoxy.
Edgar
@gigantic, why not Titebond III? I've found that III gives a slightly longer working time to get everything aligned and clamped.
gigantic
Titebond III doesn't fully cure to the extent that type 1 or type II adhesives do. It remains somewhat pliable and prone to movement, comparatively. It may or may not be a problem IRL, but I've always avoided it unless I had a specific application that called for it. I've also found that it gums up sanding sheets more than types I or II. 3

I'm no master carpenter or haven't done woodworking for 30 years but I glued the inside of my 30's (braces included) with PL Premium X2. That stuff ain't going nowhere. Cures hard as concrete.
